Curriculum vitae

Martin was born - 14.7.1974 in Prague. He at first studied filmology at the Faculty of Philosophy UK , and then film making at FAMU. He has been directing since 1996, - mostly comedy, grotesque or dialog comedy. In 1998 (during his studies at FAMU) Martin founded Major K International, an association dealing with distribution of audiovisual creations. In 1997, he wrote and filmed a comedy series “No Problem”, followed in 1999 by another comedy series “Max Marvel Show”, that was successfully sold to many foreign television networks. Martin has also written a movie series “Agáta&spol", especially for the actress Iva Janžurová. He also wrote the movie series “Kolegové”. It had been since 2001 that he filmed a full length picture, which was a comedy, “Pánská jízda” (in the autumn of 2003) His second film was also a comedy “Všechno nejlepší” that began showing in cinemas in June 2006. At the present time, he is working on another comedy, “Vy nám taky, šéfe!” Martin has also been in charge of SPI International, a film distribution company.
